Dog walking and incidental recording of things that
fly gave me a few Common Buzzards and dragonflies in Maridalen yesterday. One
of the farmers was harvesting a field of wheat and three Buzzards were hanging
over the field hoping for a snack.
Today I am hoping to get out for a Beast free trip
to Nordre Øyeren to take advantage of the rain that is forecast.

Common Buzzard (musvåk) - an adult I think as it looks to have a broad terminal tail band
another adult - note the active primary moult
and a juvenile with fresh plumage
another two adults
this is the right hand bird in the above photo - the black terminal band on the tail is so well marked that it resembles an adult male Rough-legged Buzzard (fjellvåk)
