Bluethroat
I didn’t
get up until 8:45 this morning but with the rest of the family sleeping soundly
and it raining I thought a trip to Maridalen was in order. I had a hope of
seeing Bluethroat and sure enough I found a young male that showed very well
despite the rain. A Red-backed Shrike also showed but wasn’t very keen on the rain
and I also had my first Wheatear of the autumn plus 5 Whinchats but the rain won
in the end.
Bluethroat (blsåstrupe) - the buff wing bar shows this to be a 1cy bird
