An even briefer update this time as we head off to search for the two big owls.
We have experienced some incredible scenery at Nekmyrene and enjoyed lekking Ruff (brushane), Broad-billed Sandpipers (fjellmyrløper) and Red-necked Phalarope amongst others. Some small gulls glimpsed from the car whilst heading south revealed breeding Little Gulls (dvergmåke) with 10 birds and at least one on a nest - a very rare occurence in Southern Norway.
A true highlight came in the form of a lifer with a pair of Rustic Buntings (vierspurv). Nearly extinct in Norway this had been a long time coming.
