No birding to report today but the nest four days promise some great birding as I am off to Finnmark with Bjørn Olav Tveit tomorrow morning. For me the hoped for highlights will be to find singing Arctic Warblers (lappsanger), Little Buntings (dvergspurv) and hopefully Red-flanked Bluetails (blåstrupe) alongside all the commoner specialities. Bjørn Olav is hoping for some real rarities and we should find something good up there especially following the very hot period in May which could have brought in some eastern birds.
I'll do my best to post daily updates and then update in more detail with pictures when I am back early next week.
