Making Guiding Great Again

Despite the gloom and rain the Oslo Birder delivers the goods 😊 Today’s guiding of Peter and Gail from Suffolk was just a couple of hours with 2 target species and was a complete success:

     √ Pine Grosbeak
     √ Nutcracker

The Grosbeaks showed where I hoped and had increased to 9 birds from yesterday’s 3. There were only 2 adult males in the flock though showing that birds are definitely coming and going. Nutcracker is not an easy bird to find in the winter but I knew where to look and after deploying all the tricks in a guides toolbox we ended up having great views.

with the rain and gloom the bazooka stayed in my backpack but Grosbeaks make good subjects for mobile phone photography :-)

had to be another selfie
