News from the world of virtual birding is that an invasion of Pine Grosbeaks is occuring in Finland and if we are lucky it might reach Southern Norway such that I can relive the great experiences from two winters ago.
These 3 maps are cut and pasted from the Fennoscandia Birds website
which pools data from the national reporting systems in Norway, Sweden
and Finland. As can be seen there has been a huge upsurge in records
since September and the November map only contains 7 days of
observations but is already showing more observations than in the whole of October.
