I had to check the calendar on my phone today whilst at Fornebu. I was having my own Groundhog Day with pretty much a copy paste of my trip yesterday except that today it was overcast and raining. The Bearded Tits were pinging, a male Hawfinch showed off, a couple of Long-tailed Tits trilled and the Great Grey Shrike surveyed his hunting territory from the tops of trees.
Later a trip around Maridalen revealed a couple of Crested
Tits (toppmeis) and a flock of nine Hawfinches that were resting in a tree top
before flying down into some bushes where I assume there were some suitably
tasty berries (or rather the seeds within) that were waiting for them.
