Dire
Today we were back to drizzle and mist and it was bleak in
Maridalen. There were more Redwings and Fieldfares than yesterday but Mistle Thrushes
have already moved on (next week I expect Ring Ouzels to turn up). I heard
Cranes calling in the mist and found a pair feeding on the fields at Nes and I
saw 2 Great Grey Shrikes at the same time. The birds were surprisingly close to
each other (less than 400 metres apart)
