Long-tailed Tit

Today was one of those fantastic autumn days with no wind and temperatures just cold enough to leave a tingle on the skin but without being uncomfortable. We went for a nice walk in the forests north of Maridalen without encountering many birds. There were a few Common Crossbills and with such a heavy cone crop they will surely be around in good numbers for at least another year but the best birds were a group of Long-tailed Tits that buzzard around us for a minute before melting away into the trees.
