Grosbeaks on their way?

News from the world of virtual birding is that an invasion of Pine Grosbeaks is occuring in Finland and if we are lucky it might reach Southern Norway such that I can relive the great experiences from two winters ago.

These 3 maps are cut and pasted from the Fennoscandia Birds website which pools data from the national reporting systems in Norway, Sweden and Finland. As can be seen there has been a huge upsurge in records since September and the November map only contains 7 days of observations but is already showing more observations than in the whole of October.
