Garden Waxwings

Sunday started very lazily and my fry up breakfast was interrupted when Jr Jr pointed out there was a big flock of Waxwings in the garden. There were 80 of them and they made short work of the remaining apples in the garden (this is the first time any apples have remained on the trees into the winter). The birds allowed us to stand right under them, but my pictures didn’t end up as being as good as I had hoped.

In the afternoon a tobogganing outing on a nearby slope was pleasantly interrupted by a young White-tailed Eagle flying lazily to the north.

The White-tailed Eagle (havørn) was so close that I could take a picture with the mobile
