Weekend birds

After all the hassle with correctly ID’ing the Med Gull it was good that it was still present today and seemingly there for the taking for anyone who wanted to see it. I also popped in during the afternoon and in between snow showers!! and without sharp sunlight it was very easy to pick out on the water and makes my problems with it even harder to understand.
Most of the weekend has been spent watching Jr and Jr Jr in a football tournament but even here there were birds to see with a flock of 7 Cranes and a Peregrine.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
The first Common Sandpiper (strandsnipe) of the year on Saturday

7 Cranes (trane) distracted me at a football tournament

Maridalen was idyllic on Saturday morning

one of two Ring Ouzels (ringtrost) on Saturday in Maridalen

first Swallow (låvesvale) of the year

a male Tufted Duck (toppand)

and the Med Gull today at a range of ca.350m
